Everyone knows the tragic historical events of the Nazi invasion. However, what people don't know are the stories of those who experienced it. This film gives you a raw glimpse of life in Poland in 1939. Antonia and Dr. Jan Zabinski owned one of the largest zoos in Europe during the 1930's called the Warsaw zoo. Under their care, the zoo flourished until the Nazis invaded and they were forced to work with Hitler's zoologist Dr. Lutz Heck. The Zabinski's themselves were not Jewish but saw the effects of what Nazis were doing to those who were. The Zabinskis had a choice to make, they could either keep to themselves and ignore what was going on or they could help save innocent lives from the Warsaw Ghetto. As much as people want to do the right thing and believe in virtue it's never an easy decision when your life and your family's lives are on the line. This movie is based on a true story and will take hold of your heart and send you on an emotional journey. A must see for those who need a little perspective in their lives.
