Invisibility, a super power that many wish they could have. Only what would happen if it was thrust upon you instead of it being a choice. This is the story of a family, they seem traditional on the surface but once you begin to look a little deeper, they prove to be anything but. Their youngest son was born with a facial deformity, this not only made his life extremely difficult, it changed the entire family dynamic. He chooses to be invisible in this great big world because of his deformity. All the while, his sister is invisible to those around her because of everything else that is happening. At the beginning of the 5th grade, his parents made a decision for him that he wasn't too happy about. He would enter public school for the first time. You might think that this story is all about this young boy, but that's where this story might surprise you. It separates each of their unique stories while keeping it whole and heartwarming. Tackling such an issue is difficult to do. Where this differs from the rest is it doesn't just focus on the one person, but on the entire family (and those around them). How they impact others and how others impact them, such a seemingly simple concept, yet one that is so difficult to tell. This story is tear-jerking and transforming in more ways than it appears. If you're looking for the ordinary, this probably isn't for you but if you're willing to chance the extraordinary... It's worth the risk.
