When the world around us seems out of control, we're supposed to be able to trust ourselves. What if you can't trust yourself though? Schizophrenia takes that control away from those who are afflicted with it. They hear voices and see things that aren't there but to them, it is their reality.
Adam is one of many who live in this reality. His future and his family are at risk as he tries to find some semblance of normalcy. All while his mom is running herself ragged trying to find something, anything to help him. After an incident at school, he is forced to find a new way to finish his education. This second chance seems like it could be within his grasp if he can somehow regain control of his mind. Nothing has worked and he is reluctant to keep trying. It's only when he realizes that the answers to what he's looking for have been within his grasp is he at a place where he might be able to move forward.
This is a touching story about mental illness. Showing the depths of the darkness that lie within Schizophrenia. Along the way, it's also about family and a bit of a love story as well. Even as it comes full circle, it's not the typical happily ever after but it is something special.
