Roman J. Israel, Esq., a noble title for someone who represents himself in a particular way. Considering the man, the title fits perfectly. Roman will find himself in a conflicting situation. This will open up many avenues for him but they will come at a cost that may be too high for him to pay. As a representative of the law, he is expected to hold himself to a higher standard. His own self-imposed standards hold him to a higher standard than the law itself. On one particular subject, he holds certain matters above the law. A stance that has defined him his entire life. Now he must decide what is more important to him. Will it be the cause that he has fought for or the law which he represents? The story will play out differently than you might expect, showing in fact that he’s a flawed human being who happens to have an incredible gift. Even though it’s not directly addressed in the story, it’s pretty obvious that Roman is on the spectrum (Autism/Aspergers). Reality is more than it seems sometimes and this is a perfect example of that. Harsh presentations of controversial issues will present themselves in different ways throughout this story. It will certainly incite emotions that may or may not be welcomed. Is it for everyone? No, though it will have an appeal, it will be a limited audience.
