Explorers since the beginning of time have strived to discover something new. Percy Fawcett was no different. He had grand dreams of a world that was far from that which he knew. As he ventured forth, his journey would take him much further than he ever could have imagined. Along the way, it would also cost him more than money could ever buy. So what did he do? The unthinkable, unimaginable, nearly unattainable task. His advancements, though largely scoffed at… would change the world. Just not in the way he might have intended. So the ultimate question is… Did he succeed? Or did he fail? That can’t be answered with a simple answer, it is something that must be experienced to be understood. At the same time, the presentation is slow and though there are highlights to the story (at home and abroad)… It just leaves something to be desired. History buffs might be enthralled by this as it’s based on a true story, but others might get lost along the way.
