The Review

Dysfunctional, that word, in a nutshell, describes many families... Past, present, and future. This particular family is a single dad raising 2 teenagers. One of them is strung out on drugs and the other is hanging out with questionable individuals. Now, this shouldn't come as a surprise considering the father is also involved in his own illegal activities. The proverbial apple doesn't fall far from the tree. As the father struggles to get his family back on track and start a legitimate business, the kids are off living their own lives. When one of them finds themselves in a difficult situation, another situation presents itself to work for the feds. The information he acquires helps to bring many of those involved to justice. Unfortunately, he himself gets caught in the web and try as he may, he ends up as just another victim in the game of life. This isn't some random Hollywood story, this is the story of Richard Wershe Jr. How he got involved in the situations that he was in and the consequences of the decisions. Those who choose to experience this for themselves will want to stay into the credits for some facts about the story that aren't known to most. It's a bit slow at times and may seem excessively brutal but as it does, it feels like you're actually watching his life. I think that's the point... What will you think?
