Max Steel is a young man that has had a very turbulent childhood. He and his mother have moved from place to place trying to find someplace they could call home. Ultimately, a phone call from an old friend will bring them back to where they started from. Back to where their lives changed forever. Coming home is never as easy as it seems, there will be a lot of questions answered and even more unanswered questions left on the table. Just as some of them begin to reveal themselves, Max begins to experience some oddities. As he explores these new abilities he comes face to face with an unusual friend. Together they'll help one another in ways that could only be imagined. An important person from Max's past will help put all the pieces together for Max, his mom, and his newest friend. Little does he know it's only the beginning of something that will change his life forever. This movie is based on the Mattel action figure franchise. The story is embellished and completely aimed at the same audience that the action figures are targeted towards. Fans of the franchise will enjoy the story, but if you're not familiar with it you might find yourself a bit lost.
