Mutants have been among seemingly since the beginning. The world now seems almost unrecognizable compared to what it once was. In this world, mutants are almost extinct. They have gone from heroes to zeroes. Now their only fight is simply to survive. The wolverine, one of the best known of the X-Men does what he must. He does it not just for himself, though, a few select others are also within his care. When one person who needs help reaches out to him, he avoids the situation. Regardless of how much he tries to run, fate catches up to him. In this particular instance, fate has played a trump card. Only it’s not fate, it’s Transigen and the trump card isn’t a card at all… It’s someone much closer to him than he could have imagined. What will he do with this newfound information? Will mutants ever be safe again? Is the end or just the beginning? This story answers all of these questions and leaves us with even more. There are powerful symbolic moments throughout this tale tying into the past, present and future. To X-Men fans, this should be a must see. Those that don’t follow it as closely might not get some of the references but still could enjoy the story that is told.
