Happy Birthday to you... A timeless song that is sung over and over again, year after year. This year will be anything but routine for Theresa (Tree). First, she wakes up in a stranger's room, unaware of what if anything that happened. Then she tries to continue through her day, interacting with those around her. It's only at the end of the day that she's truly taken by surprise when she is killed. Here's where it gets weird... She wakes up in the same bed again, staring at the same young man (who is no longer a stranger), and realizing that it's still her birthday. So, wait, was yesterday a dream or ??? She can't even begin to comprehend what is happening. She plays out day after day the same way, soon coming to the conclusion that she must do something to end this cycle. It's a matter of what. Overall, this is a combination of Scream, Scary Movie and Groundhog day into one overly unusual scenario. Considering that, there's enough to be entertained but not much else.
